Yarn
This kit has two balls of our soft and easy care U.S. organic cotton yarn: each ball is 194 yd/240m. Using the classic Aran stitches, and adding a fun tassel on top, you can knit this in a 12 month or 24 month.
Pattern Specifications
The pattern is written for an experienced knitter and a U.S. 3 (4.0 mm) circular needle and dpns for 12m, or size need to obtain gauge. For 24m, size U.S. 5 (3.75 mm) 16" (40cm) circular needle is recommended. Cable needles and stitch markers also used.
Gauge for 12m: 28 sts and 43 rnds = 4" (10 cm) in basket rib, with larger needles, blocked.
Gauge for 24m: 26 sts and 36 rnds = 4" (10 cm) in basket rib, with smaller needles, blocked.
