Our Yarn

We use U.S. organic cotton yarn and U.S. wool yarn that is sourced from small farms and spun, twisted and dyed at family-owned mills; then work with a collective of fiber artists to develop designs that become heirlooms.

Our story began in the early 1990s with Appalachian By Design, connecting skilled machine knitters with designers seeking American-made, ecological wool products.
